We offer lessons in Bath, Corsham and Chippenham areas...
We work with learners to build the practical skills to drive a manual car and perhaps as importantly understand the responsibilities of driving. The goal is not to just pass their driving test, it's to truly become a confident, safe and responsible road user, that parents, siblings and friends are happy to travel with.
Our style is to "coach" rather than just "instruct".
This coaching approach means we transfer responsibility and accountability to the learner in a progressive and structured way. We get the learner behind the wheel and actually driving from the first lesson. Then follow a formal syllabus that covers, road safety, practical control of the vehicle, decision making, situational awareness and risk assessment. We agree with the learner who will be responsible for each element of a specific driving exercise, with the aim of gradually passing full responsibility to to the learner as they build skills and confidence throughout the lesson.
This approach encourages self reflection, ownership of their own goals and progressive approach to learning.
We adapt our sessions based on the specific learners needs and the way they learn best.
We provide written feedback summarising the post lesson "in car debrief" after each lesson.
Naturally the vehicles we use have dual controls for safety!
